Ben,I'm trying to get an idea of how often we need to do maintainance on a typical concrete highway. Are there any guidelines.
Concrete highways are designed for a 50-year life span. Every 10 years the surface should be ground and damaged slabs replaced. Other than that it is up to the local maintenance crews to do what is necessary to keep the highway safe. Some routine maintenance repairs should include filling voids, cracks and other needed repairs. Asphalt products have been used to make these repairs in the past. Repairs using Roklin products have lasted much longer than other products.
