I have a depression (birdbath) in my driveway that I just sealed. I poured a five gallon bucket of water in it to see how much FloMix I would need to order. It looks like I'll need approx. 6 gallons. I'd like the repair to look as neat as possible by blending in to the existing driveway. Two questions. (1) If I buy 2 3 gallon buckets, is it ok to let the first one cure and then apply the other the next day? (2) Can I tape off the birdbath to a neat square and successfully float the product, then remove the tape or is there a better way to achieve a neat finished appearance? Thanks
Keep in mind that FloMix comes in 3-gallon and 5-gallon kits. That means that the kit arrives in a 3-gallon or 5-gallon bucket, not that it fills 3 or 5 gallons. It can be misleading. The coverage is approximately .4 cubic feet. You can use aggregate and fill it in lifts but there is no need to wait between buckets. The material cures in about an hour. You can tape it off with duct tape and it will look much neater.
