I used FloMix to fill a low spot in my driveway. I would like to order another bucket to coat some of the areas that are alligatored from 30 years of weathering. None of the areas are cracks or holes in the surface. Most seem to be areas where the asphalt was not compacted as much. I am concerned that the fine gravel is just too course for my purpose and perhaps that I am wrong in thinking of spreading the FloMix on top of the surface. None of the areas would be more than about 1/2 an inch thick. Can I use sand instead of part of the gravel or will that cause the patch to be less stable? Could I thin the mix out by using more liquid? Thanks,Al
The repair you describe is well-suited for our FloMix product. It can be placed as thin as 1/8" using sand. The thicker you place the FloMix, the courser aggreate should be used in the mix (3/8" rock in the mix). Remember to place sand on top of the FloMix when you finish the surface and before it dries.
