Q: I need to seal the joint between an asphalt parking surface and a raised concrete sidewalk. The aspahlt is a topping layer over structural concrete and the area below the parking area is occupied. The joint leaks and I need to seal it with something compatible with concrete and asphalt. A: Sorry for the delay in answering. To seal the leak in the joint between the asphalt parking structure and the concrete sidewalk you can use FlexSet. The only thing you need to decide is the color you would like the seal to be. FlexSet is the color of concrete and FloMix is black. |

Q: re: Flomix asphalt:I purchased Flomix from you this summer but have yet to use it.Is there a temperature below which you cannot use Flomix (e.g.below 30-45 degrees).I have alligatoring. The more I try, the more I can break-up the pieces. Should I break all off, or will flomix fill around cracks and seal beneath looser pieces of blacktop? This would otherwise require a much marger amount than I will have.I cannot find a 1/2 in power drill for mixing products (purchased mixing tool from you), any other suggestions?(sorry, I am a doctor doing my own office repairs) A: You should place flomix at 60 degree temperature or higher. The warmer the temperature the quicker the material will set. Flomix will fill around cracks and seal benerath looser pieces of black top. You can find 1/2 inch power drills at locations that have construction tools for contractors. |
