Concrete Driveways – Common Problems & Repair Tips
Concrete Driveways are likely something you use every day but you don’t notice until there’s a problem. If expansion joints or control joints aren’t constructed properly or if the ground isn’t compacted properly before concrete pouring, the concrete will eventually fail. When a concrete driveway isn’t kept covered and moist while curing, it can dry out and easily crack. Small cracks grow into large ones, especially in cold weather with freeze/thaw cycles.

Wipe up any excess material and allow to dry for 30 minutes. Now the crack is filled and your concrete repair is ready for use. For Larger Repairs: FlexSet, a push broom or blower, a drill, a trowel or lute
First ensure that the damaged area is clean and dry. Sweep or blow out cracks so there is no loose debris. Using Roklin’s FlexSet concrete driveway repair product, carefully pour contents of bottle “a” into provided 5-gallon bucket with coated sand. Next, shake thoroughly and pour bottle “b” into sand mixture. Mix with an egg-beater style pail mixer, using a drill. When mixture is completely wet, pour FlexSet onto damaged area and use a trowel or lute to smooth material into cracks. When damage is sufficiently smooth, toss topping sand by hand over repaired area to create a uniform look and feel. Your concrete driveway can be ready for traffic in about an hour.
